Rocco’s Remote: Sons Of Anarchy’s Shocking Season Six Finale

SOA Season Finale

Sons of Anarchy concluded its penultimate season last night and one of the main questions that is plaguing me (and plenty of other long time viewers no doubt) is this: with everything that went down this season, and particularly last night, what the hell is the seventh and final season gonna consist of???

Clay is dead. Tara is dead. And by all rights, Jax is headed to prison for at least 7-10 years. I know that the show’s moniker is the SONS of Anarchy, so that would say it’s about the club, but I’ve watched it for the last 6 seasons. The club is certainly a prominent part, but Jax Teller has always been the centerpiece to me. I know that Gemma is also a major player, but is Kurt Sutter going to make season 7 Gemma’s last stand? From everything I’ve read about him, and after watching a number of his weekly YouTube video diaries, he’s too good for that. The guy cut his teeth on The Shield, and I’ve heard him say that he’s always had an idea of how the show will end. He knows that TV shows get too expensive at this point to really be profitable.

I must not forget to mention one other thing. This is probably THE BEST SHOW ON TELEVISON TODAY. And this season was nothing short of amazing. I think Sutter is brilliant. Watching the finale, I had an actual pit in my stomach for almost two whole hours. Some of the scenes had me on my feet. And Charlie Hunnam and the rest of the cast were superb.

After blowing us away for six seasons, how will Sutter and his gang finish us off? Will Gemma get what MANY people feel she has coming? Will Jax keep his moral compass headed in the direction it was before last night’s brutal ending? And I’m sure we’re all just a little bit curious as to how what’s left of the club deals with the Mayans’ deadly maneuvers. I have a strong feeling that Kurt Sutter will answer most, if not all these questions in what I’m sure will be the deadliest, bloodiest, craziest season of television we’ve ever freakin’ seen.
