THIRD EYE BLIND is one of the cleanest bands I’ve seen live. Everything from their stage presence and lighting, to the sound quality was flawlessly executed. The crowd was mostly comprised of either younger 16-18 year olds, or late 20 and early 30 somethings trying to pretend that they’re 21 again. The presence that the band produced was enormous. You could tell that they’ve been at this a while, and they still have the spirit to keep going. Vocalist Stephen Jenkins seemed to be losing himself in the music, the atmosphere. The entire band followed suit to varying degrees. They’re the kings, and they have no intention of being dethroned. The band managed to place this melancholy enchantment over the crowd, but not a single concert goer seemed to mind. If you have the chance to see them play, go for it. It’s such a nicely orchestrated, mildly chaotic event. You’ll leave feeling like you’ve witnessed something special, and you have. If you’re more of the stay at home type, make sure to pick up their new record Dopamine out now.
